Remotion: From source code to video

I’ve been building a CRM on the side lately, partly for fun, and partly for a freelancer friend who needs a better way to track things.

While poking around some forums, I found Remotion.

What’s cool isn’t just that it’s a way to make videos with React. It’s what happens when you point it at your actual source code. I managed to get a promotion video out of it that actually understood the structure of the CRM and what makes it work.

Most of the talk these days is about getting AI to write code for you, but seeing it read code and turn it into a story is what really got me.

I’m always impressed by these tools, but I’m even more impressed by the people who build them. It’s making it so much easier to go from a rough idea to something you can actually show someone.
